Japan Travel Journal

Japan Travel Journal

I’ve finally finished my Japan Travel Journal from my Japan trip last month. I love how I was able to collect Eki Stamps during the trip. You can check out the reel here. It was a lovely trip and wishing to return to Japan next year. Although the Autumn colours were not yet in full during our visit, it was an amazing holiday with such lovely weather and great food. As already said, we will return!

Japan Scrapbook

As people are heading back from their holidays, I received some questions about my travel scrapbook. So I decided to record another flip through of my Japan Scrapbook from 2018 travel with my family.

As you can see, I’m using a cheap A6 clear binder. I like the A6 size as it fits well the boarding passes and most of the brochures. I also find this clear binder aesthetically pleasing. I created a cover which is like a boarding pass. Then I also illustrated the summary of the travel digitally and printed it out. I also made my own postcard. The binder also includes an envelope where I placed some of the photos I’ve printed out and an origami doll from the guesthouse in Kyoto. Then I have the boarding passes, postcards I bought, museum tickets, brochures, business cards of where we stayed, travel tickets and leaflets. I’m still finding more items from the travel and I’m adding them to the scrapbook. So I’m happy for the space this binder has and the ability to move the items. I know that I have many origami cranes from the capsule hotel in Tokyo and I will also include them in this scrapbook using another envelope.

I hope this short clip has given you more ideas on how to create a travel scrapbook. Please don’t hesitate to show me what you have done with your scrapbook. I’m sure I will get a lot of inspiration from you!
